From “I’m Progressing” to “I Went Quiet”: Confessions of a Bride Who Needed a Break
Hey there, my fabulous fitness companions!
So… you probably noticed I’ve been quiet. Five months quiet. And if you've been following this journey, you might’ve wondered — what happened to Page? Did she quit? Did she vanish into a pile of wedding spreadsheets and forget all about burpees? Here’s my honest confession: I didn’t give up. I just needed a break. From the tracking. From the posting. From trying to do all the things perfectly.
But while I was catching my breath… Tammy was still there.
Life Interrupted, But the Support Never Stopped
Let’s rewind a bit. Right after I hit that 7,000-step milestone in January (and was feeling like a total rockstar), real life came in swinging. Work exploded, wedding to-dos multiplied like rabbits, and mentally? I hit a wall.
The workouts didn’t stop entirely — some weeks were better than others — but the momentum? It slowed. So, I pressed pause. On the blog. On the updates. On trying to keep up the "I’ve got this!" energy when, truthfully, I didn’t.
But here’s the part I have to share — and it’s the reason I’m still in this game at all: Tammy never stopped supporting me.
Even in my silence, she checked in. Not with guilt trips or “Where have you been?” messages. Nope. Just steady, patient encouragement:
“How are you feeling this week?”
“Want to ease into a lighter plan for now?”
“You’ve got this — and I’m here when you’re ready.”
That quiet consistency made all the difference. There were weeks when my “workout” was walking the dog while talking things out with her. And she never minimized it — she honored it. She reminded me that showing up, even in small ways, still counts.
Progress That Doesn't Always Show Up on the Scale
Not all progress comes in the form of a transformation photo. Some of it looks like asking for help. Some of it sounds like a deep breath before reopening the Bridal Fitness Coach App. And some of it feels like letting go of guilt and holding onto grace.
I haven’t lost another 10 pounds. I haven’t mastered meal prep. But I’ve learned how to listen to my body, give myself space, and remember that fitness isn’t all-or-nothing. It’s ongoing.
So… Where Are We Now?
I’m back — gently, imperfectly, but intentionally. I’ve started moving again. I’m logging my workouts when I can. And Tammy, true to form, has met me exactly where I am.
There’s still a wedding on the horizon — which brings me to a little update…
Wedding Update: A New Date, A Fresh Perspective
Remember when I said I was getting married in March? Well… surprise! We’ve officially moved the big day to August 2025. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s the right one. More time. More space. And honestly? More peace.
Instead of rushing toward a date, I get to enjoy the journey a little longer — both as a bride and as a woman finding her strength again.
If You’ve Been in the Quiet Too…
Please hear this: You’re not behind. You’re not lazy. You’re just human. It’s okay to pause. It’s okay to reset. And it’s okay to come back at your own pace. Your journey isn’t broken just because it took a detour. You’re still on the path. And you’re not walking it alone.
So here’s to showing up — even when it’s hard. Even when it’s messy. Even when you’ve been quiet for way too long.
We’ve got this.
XOXO,
Page
